Bertha International Institute of Arts and Sciences has established a first-of-its-kind Global Climate Education Consortium, uniting leading academic institutions and technology partners to advance climate literacy and actionable solutions across its educational continuum. The initiative integrates AI-powered learning platforms with hands-on sustainability projects, positioning the Institute at the nexus of climate education and technological innovation.
The Climate Action Learning Platform employs machine learning algorithms to personalise climate science curricula for university, K12, and pre-university learners. Students engage with real-time environmental data sets, predictive climate models, and scenario-based simulations addressing energy transition challenges and biodiversity conservation strategies.
Key components include:
- AI-Driven Carbon Literacy Certifications for all educational stages, combining blockchain-verified skill credentials with project portfolios
- Transcontinental Virtual Laboratories connecting students with peers in Africa, Europe, and Asia for collaborative climate resilience research
- SDG-Aligned Innovation Challenges focusing on circular economy design, renewable energy microgrids, and climate-adaptive urban planning
The Institute has also launched the Bertha Climate Leaders Fellowship, offering mentorship from IPCC contributors and access to advanced research facilities for developing scalable climate solutions.
