General English Courses

The general English courses concentrate on all of the essential components of learning English; speaking, listening, reading and writing. The courses are designed to ensure you’re adept at grammar, vocabulary building, idioms and even slang. All classes place special focus on speaking and listening.

If you’re new to English, don’t be afraid. Bilingual teachers who are patient and committed to get you started off on the right foot in your pursuit of learning English. All of our teachers in our starter classes are patience and really know how to make class fun and engaging.

Can understand and use familiar everyday expressions and very basic phrases aimed at the satisfaction of needs of a concrete type. Can introduce him/herself and others and can ask and answer questions about personal details such as where he/she lives, people he/she knows and things he/she has. Can interact in a simple way provided the other person talks slowly and clearly and is prepared to help.

Can understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance (e.g. very basic personal and family information, shopping, local geography, employment). Can communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a simple and direct exchange of information on familiar and routine matters. Can describe in simple terms aspects of his/her background, immediate environment and matters in areas of immediate need.

Can understand the main points of clear standard input on familiar matters regularly encountered in work, school, leisure, etc. Can deal with most situations likely to arise whilst travelling in an area where the language is spoken. Can produce simple connected text on topics which are familiar or of personal interest. Can describe experiences and events, dreams, hopes & ambitions and briefly give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans.

Can understand the main ideas of complex text on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in his/her field of specialization. Can interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native speakers quite possible without strain for either party. Can produce clear, detailed text on a wide range of subjects and explain a viewpoint on a topical issue giving the advantages and disadvantages of various options.

Can understand a wide range of demanding, longer texts, and recognize implicit meaning. Can express him/herself fluently and spontaneously without much obvious searching for expressions. Can use language flexibly and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes. Can produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, showing a controlled use of organizational patterns, connectors and cohesive devices.

Can understand a wide range of demanding, longer texts, and recognize implicit meaning. Can express him/herself fluently and spontaneously without much obvious searching for expressions. Can use language flexibly and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes. Academic Year Course

The Academic Year Course is designed for students who wish to maximize their English language learning experience. Students follow this course because they want to improve their level of English holistically (across the four skills). For work purposes, study purposes or they need to obtain an internationally recognized certificate at the end of the course to gain admission to a university.

Test Preparation

IELTS Exam Preparation Course

The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is an internationally owned and globally recognized direct English language assessment of the highest quality and integrity readily available throughout the world. It is a highly dependable, practical and valid English language assessment primarily used by those seeking international education, professional recognition, bench-marking to international standards and global mobility.

TOEFL Exam Preparation Course

The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is a standardized academic test, where the English proficiency of non-native speakers is checked. The TOEFL test is a recognised prerequisite for many universities in the English-speaking world. In the test, the required vocabulary that is needed in the various faculties is tested, among other things.

English Classes for Children and Teens

English classes for kids, children or teenagersOur English course for kids or children focuses on learning English in an enjoyable way.

Maximum number of students in class is 15. This allows for greater participation and a greater degree of individual attention. Please note that this is a guaranteed maximum. During the rest of the day students are encouraged to make use of the opportunities to speak and improve their English with the presence of monitors and teachers who will always use English with them. 

Three classes in the morning from Sunday to Thursday. The focus is primarily on spoken English; students will learn functional English to help them in real social situations. Special attention will be given to useful vocabulary for the afternoon’s activities/trip.  The course will finish with a group presentation.

Each class is with a different teacher. This means that students practice English with the added benefit of listening to more accents and experience a variety of teaching styles.
